Welcome to Ceramic workshop of George Sifounios. George Sifounios work at ceramics and pottery about 20 years now. He is one of the few ceramists in Greece who create objects with technical wreck,which gives us incredible beauty ceramics and especially visual interest products. He also make raku ceramics, a Japanese technique for making ceramics that creates individual items.
George Sifounios born in Leros Greece in 1956. He produce ceramics covering a huge range of utilitarian and decorative ceramics for the home and as a decorative objects. The soil-clay in his hands of taking various shapes creating forms of the past that do not remember the oldest and the youngest to learn. He make Pans, pots, basins, plates, platters, pitchers, chimneys, gutters, Hanafi (fountains). He simply puts the colors and the glazes but the intervention of the fire. of smoke and ash are what give colours incomparable beauty. He also paint with basic attribute the nature something that he love so much and expresses him.
